“Philadelphia 2016”, the organizing entity for Philadelphia’s bid to host the 2016 Democratic National Convention is seeking motivated and enthusiastic interns and associates to join out team.
A well-qualified applicant for this position will be someone that is detail-oriented and self motivated with exemplary time management, planning, organizational and communications skills. Political experience, or prior campaign work is a plus.
Interns and Associates will be responsible for assisting the bid team on various projects and interacting with a dozen or more coordinating organizations. Other responsibilities will include general office work and staffing the organization’s principals.
These positions are based in downtown Philadelphia and may entail some local travel. Irregularity of hours is to be expected, including some evenings and rarely, weekends. Intern positions (defined as 15 hours or less a week) are unpaid, but academic credit can be awarded based on your institution’s criteria for such work.
For Associate positions (defined as 16 – 25 hours a week) compensation is commensurate with the applicant’s experience, but will start at $15.00 per hour.
These positions are being hired immediately and will likely run through December 2014.
