Internship Opportunity: County Commissioner Race
“Election Day 2007 is rapidly approaching and in your midst is a very exciting and historical county commissioner race.
Ruth Damsker, the incumbent minority commissioner, along with Joe Hoeffel, former commissioner and PA-13 congressman, are running together as a team against Bruce Castor, current district attorney, and Jim Matthews, incumbent commissioner and former Lt. Governor candidate. The current state in Montgomery county is riddled with abuse of the system and sweetheart no bid contracts for friends of the Republican majority. (Sound familiar?) Ruth and Joe are determined to restore fiscal responsibility and to make the county government accountable to the people.
The only way we can see Ruth and Joe elected is through our Get Out the Vote effort. We need a lot of people to join “Team Damsker-Hoeffel” for Election Day weekend. Our efforts begin on Saturday November 3rd and continue on to Election Day on the 6th. We are asking for people to give 5 hours of their time to help us go door to door. In return, you will receive $75 per day. Hours are as follows:
Sat. 12-5
Sun. 12-5
Mon. 3-8
Tues (Election Day)- Flexible 5 hour block that is arranged with us.
Please either contact Assaf, at assaf.holtzman@gmail.com or call at 610-278-8060. Also, please check out the website, http://www.votedamskerhoeffel.com.”
